Emmanuel de Seroux from Narvick International negotiated the 50% stake for OTI while Ital-Cal Horse Management worked with the Italian owner to close the deal.

At Agnano Racetrack in Naples, Italy, a very impressive 3 lengths win by Erdmann, a bay 2yo colt by Majesticperfection, owned by Giampiero Vellucci's Scuderia dell'Avvocato, and trained by Luigi Di Dio. Erdmann was bought by Ital-Cal Horse management at the 2017 Fasig-Tipton October Kentucky Yearling Sales for $9,000.

Freedom Day & Bronze Bombshell
A Magic Night in Napoli, Italy for Ital-Cal Horse Management, Inc. with two very promising two year old winners!
On the first race a 1,500 mt. turf Debutant the dark bay colt Freedom Day by Spring at Last owned by Giampiero Vellucci’s Scuderia dell’Avvocato and trained by Luigi DiDio won impressively at 11 to 1, two lengths in front of the heavily favorited Tuscan invader Xilano. Freedom Day was skillfully selected by Nina Kaiser working for Ital-Cal Agent at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky 2015 October Sales for US $6,000.
In the Napoli night cap, a 1,000 mt. turf Maiden, the muscular filly Bronze Bombshell by Here Comes Ben as the gates opened went to the lead and progressively improved her position to win by one and a half lengths for Silvio Screpanti (owner) and Agostino Affè (trainer), Bronze Bombshell was bought privately in Ocala by an Ital-Cal Agent from the masterful Ocala horseman Jimmy Crupi.

Punta Stella
Punta Stella, a 2010 mare by Elusive City out of Eroica, is the half-sister of Saent the 2016 Italian Derby Winner (Gr. II 715,000 Euro).
Punta Stella was bought privately by Narvick International and Riki Takahashi with their Italian collaborator Ital-Cal Horse Management, on behalf of Katsumi Yoshida. Pictured here is Punta Stella in foal to champion Orfevre at Katsumi Yoshida's Northern Farm in Japan and Punta Stella 2016 foal a filly by Heart's Cry.
La Trinacria
La Trinacria, a three-year old filly by Harlan's Holiday-Almeria Gal, owned by Teresa Viola Racing Stable and trained by Agostino Affè, won her debut on November 8th 2015 at Capannelle in Rome, Italy. She went on to be second in the prestigious Premio Regina Elena, Group III, 1600 mt turf, US $135,000 on April 24, 2016.
La Trinacria was bought by Ital-Cal Horse Management, Inc. for US $47,000 at the OBS 2yo March Sales.

Laviva, purchased from Crupi's New Castle Farm for Scuderia Fert, won the Premio Palazzo Reale in Pisa on Dec 11, the second win after previously winning the Premio Gianni Raia in Firenze. Footage of the two races is included in the Videos section.

Katsumi Yoshida in Italia non lascia, anzi raddoppia. Dopo Final Score, l'importante proprietario e allevatore giapponese ha comprato anche la 2 anni Fontanelice, capofila della generazione. Con la stessa consulenza di Emmanuel de Seroux di Narvick International e Paolo Romanelli di Ital-Cal Horse Management, come sempre coadiuvati dal veterinario di fiducia Riki Takahashi, nelle recenti settimane si è concretizzato l'acquisto dell'imbattuta figlia di Vale of York, già da alcuni giorni arrivata a Chantilly nelle scuderie di Christiane Head. Tutto collaudato come per Final Score con gli stessi protagonisti professionali e riservati, Mario Sivieri di Pianeta Cavallo, il dottor Giuseppe Incastrone, il veterinario francese dott. Pechayre, come per Final Score arrivato appositamente da Chantilly, il tutto coordinato a meraviglia a Cenaia dalla Dottoressa Claudia Basile. «Siamo molto soddisfatti di questo nuovo acquisto - ha commentato Emmanuel de Seroux -. Fontanelice è arrivata in splendida condizione a Chantilly per la piena approvazione di Criquette Head, che non ha mancato di comunicarmi subito la sua ottima impressione. Vedremo i risultati, ma c’è tanta fiducia. La storia di Fontanelice è nota. Acquistata yearling da Alduino Botti all’asta Tattersalls Irlanda, per 9.000 euro, come regalo per il figlio Stefano, fa parte della prima annata di produzione di Vale of York, secondo nel Gran Criterium 2009 e poi a segno a Santa Anita nel Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf. La madre Choose Me Please (un nome profetico: scegli me per favore), inedita, aveva esordito in razza con un maschio da Footstepsinthesand solo piazzato. Fontanelice è il secondo prodotto, il terzo, una femmina da Iffraaj, ha spuntato 37.000 sterline a fine agosto a Doncaster. Da notare che la terza mamma, Bubble Prospector, è madre o ava di diversi ottimi performer in Giappone, incluso Deep Brillante (Derby). Che sia stato (anche) questo aspetto a sedurre Katsumi Yoshida e il suo team? Di certo li avrà colpiti il modello e la consistenza di Fontanelice, che dall’esordio nel Poncia al trionfo nel Dormello non ha mai conosciuto sconfitta, centrando anche Perrone, Crespi e Primi Passi (in parità con il maschio Ginwar, poi secondo nel Gran Criterium). Comprare a poco, realizzare, vendere all’estero: un’operazione perfetta.

Gran Criterium at San Siro, Milano. The 1,500 meter, Group 2 Race hosted 2-year old colts and fillies racing for €264,000 in purses. Hero Look, owned by Scuderia Effevi, trained by Stefano Botti, and jockeyed by Fabio Branca, won the 2014 edition.
